City Winery Philadelphia presents TreWay & The Now Generation live on July 17th at 7:30pm.
TreWay & The Now Generation is a soulful, high energy Philadelphia-based band led by TreWay—a drummer, singer, and musical director who began playing at age three in his mother’s church and has transitioned from behind the drums to a dynamic and commanding frontman. Known for electrifying live performances and undeniable musicality, the band blends soul, funk, gospel, and contemporary R&B into an experience they call FEEL GOOD MUSIC: uplifting, groove-driven, and deeply rooted in connection.
TreWay’s career includes recording with Grammy-winning artist Tye Tribbett and contributing to the 2x Grammy-winning Greater Than Live, along with touring and performing alongside Lil Durk, Future, Meek Mill, Bebe Rexha, The Jonas Brothers, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Jazmine Sullivan, and Floetry. He has appeared on major stages including the Grammys, Coachella, Apple Music Live, BET Awards, Saturday Night Live, and the Oscars.
Joined by band members (The Now Generation) Izzy, Juice, and Holy Ghost, TreWay & The Now Generation deliver powerful musicianship, infectious crowd engagement, and spontaneous moments that turn concerts into shared experiences. The band recently released the singles “Comfortable” and “Start Over” featuring The Amours, with their upcoming single “Way Dope” leading into their debut EP Testimony. Recent highlights include performances at Wawa Welcome America and BeardFest, national editions of The Now Jam, opening performances for Avery Wilson, Ghost-Note, MonoNeon, and Cory Henry, and a Top 10 Spotlight placement in the 2025 Tiny Desk Competition.
Beyond the stage, TreWay is the founder of ONDA1, a cultural platform established in 2012 that merges mentorship, fashion, music, and community impact reflecting the band’s mission to inspire both audiences and the next generation of artists.
