Torrence Nelson is a Chicago-born, Boston-based gospel recording artist whose powerhouse vocals, commanding stage presence, and soul-stirring performances have made him one of New England's premier contemporary gospel artists. Blending the rich tradition of gospel with the musical sophistication of soul and contemporary worship, Nelson creates concerts that are as intimate as they are electrifying—drawing audiences into an unforgettable evening of music, inspiration, and hope.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Torrence has spent more than a decade performing on stages across the country, including ten years as a featured vocalist with the internationally acclaimed Harlem Gospel Choir. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with some of gospel music's most respected artists while cultivating a distinctive artistic voice that resonates across generations and denominations.

His latest project, I Believe: Live at Bethel Boston, captures the energy and emotional depth of his live performances through a collection of original songs rooted in faith, perseverance, and triumph. Following the success of his award-winning debut album, A Heart of Praise, which earned Album of the Year at the Angelic Gospel Music Awards, Torrence has continued to gain national recognition. His work has received multiple nominations from the Rhythm of Gospel Awards, further establishing him as an artist to watch within today's gospel landscape.

Beyond the stage, Torrence remains deeply invested in the future of gospel music. As a member of the Recording Academy, the Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy (SAGMA), and the Gospel Industry Coalition, he actively champions artistic excellence while mentoring emerging musicians and collaborating with the next generation of gospel creatives.
