City Winery Boston presents(opens in a new tab) The Victrola Experience with special guests Lainey Dionne, and Meera Raphael live on December 14th at 7:30pm.
Join us in the Haymarket lounge with master engineer, musician and discographer Johnny Dalton, as he blends the sounds of 100+ year-old Victrola records with live acoustic music by 21st century performers.
About the performers:
Johnny Dalton -- Owner/founder of Kung Pow! Recording & Mastering, Johnny is a Boston Music Award-winning engineer and musician, with special expertise in the history of musical production and recording, and a passion for understanding how it has influenced today's sounds.
Lainey Dionne – Lainey Dionne is a GRAMMY® Considered indie pop singer/songwriter from Rhode Island. Dionne has over 50 nominations & awards for her songwriting including Songwriter of the Year at the New England Music Awards. Under an Artist Development record deal in Nashville, Lainey wrote with various professional writers including writers for Dua Lipa, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, Noah Kahan, etc, on her debut album Self Titled. Her third single from the album was optioned by Selena Gomez; while her team ultimately passed on the track, Lainey has gone on to write for other signed artists and has placed music across major television networks including MTV, TLC, Bravo, HULU, Netflix, ABC, E!, Disney+, and more. Her most recent placements include featured songs on Love Is Blind and The Kardashians. Since graduating from Berklee College of Music, Dionne has opened for international acts including Nickelodeon's Drake Bell and The Head and The Heart while performing over 100 shows a year. Meera Raphael – Meera Raphael wields the sword of consciousness against Injustice and Illusion. With the voice of an angel and an ancient ancestral, yet distinctly American, mystic feminine folk-rock sound, she delivers a timely message of healing and empowerment to fallen angels and wounded warriors of the world.
