Fronted by the remarkable Sean Kelly, The Samples have been blending rock, reggae, and folk into a signature sound that has captivated fans for decades. Kelly, born in Norwalk, Connecticut, and raised in Vermont, began his musical journey with a passion for songwriting and guitar that would define his career. After moving to Colorado in 1987, he formed The Samples, quickly becoming a cornerstone of the early ‘college rock’ alternative scene. The band’s original songs earned acclaim on both indie and major labels, including a stint with Arista Records, and established a reputation for dynamic live performances that continue to this day.

Over 25 years later, Kelly remains a driving force in music, guiding 20 albums and achieving over one million records sold. His songwriting has reached audiences far beyond the stage, appearing in the film Perks of Being a Wallflower and on TV shows such as Younger. Known for his high voice, inventive guitar work, and genre-defying approach, Kelly delivers each song with conviction, drawing listeners into every performance.
