Surabhi Ensemble brings together the vibrant traditions of India, Portugal, and Spain for a captivating evening of Fado, Carnatic music, and Flamenco, presented in partnership with Instituto Cervantes.
Founded in 2010 by acclaimed Indian veena player Saraswathi Ranganathan, the Surabhi Ensemble is known for virtuosic musicianship and a powerful mission of cultural connection. The ensemble brings together an extraordinary lineup of artists, including flamenco guitarist Carlo Basile, tabla master Dhananjay Kunte, percussionist Bob Garrett, oud player Ronnie Malley, bassist Greg Neergard, Indian dancer Kinnari Vora, and flamenco dancer Leticia Aravena.
With performances spanning Vietnam, Spain, Portugal, Senegal, Mexico, and India, Surabhi Ensemble creates a dynamic meeting point between musical and dance traditions from around the world. Their work celebrates the idea that cultural exchange can inspire creativity, understanding, and togetherness.
