A Louisiana native now based in the DMV, Dr. Dupas has spent more than two decades captivating audiences as a poet, educator, curator, and host. A Baltimore Legend Award recipient and Baltimore’s 2024 Renaissance Woman of the Year, she has been featured on C-SPAN, PBS, Sirius XM, WEAA, The Washington Post, and the DC Black Film Festival. Her powerful storytelling and multi-disciplinary artistry create space for reflection, healing, and connection.

This carefully curated afternoon weaves together new poems from Somebody Else’s Blues: An Open Mic Experience, fan favorites, and thought-provoking dialogue inspired by her reflection journal. Exploring love, loss, growth, and the courage to choose ourselves, this cozy gathering invites you to lean in and get real.
