Sons of Cream bring a celebration of the rich history and music that helped the 60s and beyond to City Winery Nashville for a night of tribute and nostalgia.
Kofi Baker is the son of legendary drummer Ginger Baker, who not only continues but extends the family legacy with his outstanding skills, drive, and dedication to his craft. His first live performance was with his father on cult-classic UK television show “The Old Grey Whistle” at just six years old. Once he was old, he and his father played drum duets throughout Europe and has since toured extensively.
Malcolm Bruce is a composer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist and son of Jack Bruce. He’s appeared on records with some of the biggest names in music including Little Richard, Elton John, Eric Claption, Ginger Baker, Dr John, and Ozzy Osbourne to name a few. Among his many tributes to Cream, he served as co-executive producer, arranger, and performer for ‘Heavenly,’ a project headed by Cream lyricist Pete Brown and recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The album was released alongside the documentary ‘THE CREAM ACOUSTIC SESSIONS’ to critical acclaim.
Guitarist and vocalist Rob Johnson joins them, bringing his love and inspiration by folk, rock, soul, and blues from the 60s and 70s for a rare chance to hear Cream music live in Nashville, performed by only those who could do it best.
