Affectionately known as the “Haitian Dave Chappelle” within the Haitian community, Sejoe, born Joseph Ducasse, has built a devoted following with his fearless and relatable comedic voice. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Haiti, his early life was shaped by major political upheavals, including a presidential coup and an American military intervention. These experiences, combined with his perspective as a Haitian immigrant navigating life in the United States, fuel the thoughtful and hilarious observations that define his comedy.
Sejoe first began sharing his comedic voice online in 2009 after deciding to step away from a medical career. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a massive audience, with more than 50 million views on YouTube and a rapidly expanding social media following. His stand-up special Nou Chaje ak Pwoblèm (We Got A Lot of Problems) on Amazon Prime further cemented his reputation as a bold and original voice in comedy.
