Roland Guerin brings the sounds of New Orleans to life with ProgFunk, a fresh, exciting blend of funk, jazz, rock, and soul. A talented bassist, vocalist, composer, and producer, Guerin has spent his career finding new ways to bring these sounds together while honoring the musicians and traditions that inspired him.
Having worked with New Orleans legends Allen Toussaint and Dr. John, Guerin knows how to create music that feels rooted in tradition but never stands still. His ProgFunk sound mixes infectious grooves, memorable melodies, and adventurous improvisation, with influences ranging from Prince and Sting to Steely Dan and Peter Gabriel.
Joining him for this special performance are acclaimed drummer Brian Blade, four-time DownBeat Award-winning saxophonist Sam Taylor, and guitarist Chris Adkins, known for his work with George Porter Jr. and the Allen Toussaint Band. Together, they bring an incredible range of talent and a deep love of groove to the stage.
The evening will also feature music from Guerin's upcoming album, Roland Guerin's ProgFunk, which showcases his bold approach to blending musical styles.
