British pop icon and acclaimed songwriter Nick Heyward brings his Acoustic Road Trip to Music City when he takes the stage at City Winery Nashville on March 5.
As the frontman and songwriter of Haircut 100, Heyward helped create some of the most memorable pop songs of the early 1980s, including “Love Plus One,” “Fantastic Day,” and “Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl).” With four UK Top 10 singles and a platinum-selling debut album, Pelican West, Haircut 100 became a defining voice of the era.
Heyward continued his musical journey as a solo artist, working with legendary Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick on North of a Miracle and finding success on American alternative radio with “Kite,” which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Alternative chart. His career has since spanned decades of acclaimed songwriting, international performances, and a reunion with his Haircut 100 bandmates.
