Musiq Soulchild brings his celebrated neo-soul sound home to City Winery Philadelphia for a multi-night engagement this holiday season, an intimate evening of soulful music, powerful vocals, and timeless songs from one of R&B's most respected artists, and one of the city's own.
Long before the multi-platinum records and 13 Grammy nominations, Musiq was singing on Philadelphia's streets, absorbing the same lineage of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Donny Hathaway that shaped his signature sound. Coming back to perform in the city that raised him adds a layer this show won't have anywhere else on the run.
His live performances lean into warmth and groove in equal measure, the kind of set built for a room where people came to listen, not just to be seen.
