Mohini Dey is a globally celebrated bassist, arranger, producer, and vocalist whose extraordinary musicianship has made her one of the most exciting voices in modern jazz and fusion. Known for her lightning fast technique, melodic sensibility, and genre blending style, the Mumbai born virtuoso has earned international acclaim for pushing the boundaries of contemporary bass performance.
A professional musician since the age of nine, Dey has spent more than two decades performing and recording around the world. She was named the “Most Successful Musician Under 30” by Forbes India and is recognized as the only female bassist to rank among MusicRadar’s Top 10 Bassists of the 21st Century. Her work has reached millions online, with over 20 million YouTube views and a rapidly growing global fanbase.
Dey currently performs as the bassist for Willow Smith and has collaborated with an extraordinary list of artists including Quincy Jones, Steve Vai, Zakir Hussain, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, A.R.
