Meshell N'Degeocello brings a powerful and deeply resonant performance to City Winery Pittsburgh, celebrating the centennial of the legendary writer and activist James Baldwin through her acclaimed album No More Water: The Gospel of James Baldwin.

After nearly a decade in the making, this ambitious project honors Baldwin’s enduring voice and prophetic insight, nearly forty years after his passing. Inspired by his essays, novels, and speeches, N'Degeocello channels themes of race, identity, faith, love, and resistance into a genre-defying musical experience that feels urgent, intimate, and transformative. The album marks one of her most daring artistic statements to date, blending soul, jazz, spoken word, and gospel-inflected textures into a moving tribute that speaks directly to our present moment.

Following her GRAMMY Award win for Best Alternative Jazz Album with The Omnichord Real Book, N'Degeocello continues to push creative boundaries as a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer.
