St. Louis' very own international jazz star Janet Evra makes her City Winery debut to celebrate the release of her new album "Magic Moments: Janet Evra sings Burt Bacharach with the Ryan Marquez Trio".
Janet Evra is a jazz vocalist, bassist, and bandleader from England now based in St. Louis, where she is the Artist in Residence at The Sheldon. Evra has headlined jazz festivals in the USA and in Europe, she has collaborated with GRAMMY-winning jazz superstars Randy Brecker, Al Di Meola, Sara Gazarek, Marcus Miller, Taylor Eigsti, Bob Reynolds, Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), and many others, and she has appeared in Downbeat, JAZZIZ, and All About Jazz. Evra's six critically-acclaimed studio albums have millions of streams on Spotify and YouTube.
This special album release show will celebrate Evra's new album, "Magic Moments: Janet Evra Sings Burt Bacharach with the Ryan Marquez Trio", and will feature new arrangements of classic Bacharach songs including "Magic Moments", "Walk on By", "I'll Never Fall in Love Again", "That's What Friends Are For", "Close to You", "The Look of Love", "There's Always Something There to Remind Me", "Alfie", "This Girl's In Love With You', "Do You Know the Way to San Jose", "What the World Needs Now", and "Say a Little Prayer", among others. The album will be available on CD and vinyl.
