City Winery Philadelphia presents Leon & The Peoples live on August 25th at 7:30pm.

For a decade, Leon & The Peoples have been building something rare: a sound that fuses reggae's rhythm with soul's ache, road tested across festival stages and sold out rooms nationwide. At the helm is Leon, a singer, actor, and producer whose smooth, sultry vocals anchor a band stacked with world class musicianship. Their sophomore album, "Love Is A Beautiful Thing," debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Hot Singles Sales chart, with a follow up single that climbed to No. 12. The band has earned an International Reggae & World Music Award nomination and took home Best International Artists honors at the Joe Higgs Reggae Awards.

Their stages have included Tom Joyner's Fantastic Voyage Cruise alongside LL Cool J and Alicia Keys, a co-headlining night with Third World at SONY Hall, the Apollo Theater, and a sold out 38 city run with Beres Hammond. Leon's parallel career as an actor, seen in "Cool Runnings," "The Temptations," and Amazon's Emmy winning "Swarm," only deepens the presence he brings to a live room.
