Raised on a diet of homegrown Gospel, Madlib, J Dilla, Flying Lotus and various other influences, Lakeland, FL based multi-instrumentalist and producer Kaelin Ellis deftly straddles the labels of funk, hip hop, electronic music and space age jazz for a sound as fresh and exciting as the young producer himself. Already a Multi-Platinum musician with over ten years of experience, the genre-defying creator has already worked with Vince Staples, Masego, Lupe Fiasco, Danny Brown, Saba, Joyce Wrice, Duckwrth, Virgil Abloh, Mick Jenkins, MadeinTYO, Logic, BJ the Chicago Kid, TOBi, Jazmine Sullivan, Buddy, Erick the Architect (of Flatbush Zombies), EXO and more. His upcoming album "Governor" features the new single "Come & Go" with Saba and Mick Jenkins and soon to be released single "Hello Morning" featuring Madison McFerrin.
In 2023, Kaelin was nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album and he has received praise from the likes of Rolling Stone Magazine, USA Today, Okayplayer, NPR Music, HYPBEAST, Pitchfork, Complex Magazine and many more over the years.
