Josh Rouse brings twenty-five years of warm, ruminative songwriting to City Winery NYC for a night built for close listening. This is the kind of show where a single voice and a well-worn catalog fill the whole room.

Expect a set drawn from a career NPR has called one of contemporary music's most engaging, spanning the dark horse gem of his 1998 debut through more than a dozen albums since. Rouse's sound rewards patience, the kind of songwriting that unfolds slowly and settles in rather than announcing itself, at home equally on a festival stage at Glastonbury or in a room built for intimate live music like this one. There's a good chance the night includes a preview of new material ahead of his fall 2026 release on New West Records, a rare first listen for the room.

His songwriting has already earned a Goya Award, the Spanish equivalent of an Oscar, for "Do You Really Want to Be in Love," proof that his melodies travel well beyond the folk and Americana circuit.
