Just in time for Christmas, experience the music that has become synonymous with the season when the Jody Nardone Trio presents A Charlie Brown Christmas: A Tribute to Vince Guaraldi at City Winery Pittsburgh on December 22.
Pianist, vocalist, and composer Jody Nardone brings more than 20 years of experience leading his jazz trio to this celebration of Guaraldi’s unforgettable music. The acclaimed Nashville-based musician has performed and recorded with artists including Brian Setzer, Jackson Browne, Larry Carlton, Jeff Coffin, and Alison Brown, while developing a piano style equally at home with delicate melodies and bold improvisation.
With their 2019 tribute album, A Charlie Brown Christmas Live in Nashville, Nardone and his trio found a way to honor the warmth and familiarity of Guaraldi’s music without simply recreating it, adding their own playful improvisational voice to the holiday favorite.
