In the Lab with DJ Nabs Old Skool Sundays: A Tribute To Club Kaya
A true architect of the culture, DJ NABS is a legendary turntablist whose impact spans decades. From touring the world as music director for Kris Kross on Michael Jackson’s iconic Dangerous World Tour to shaping Atlanta’s rise as a global hip-hop capital through his work with So So Def Recordings, NABS has been at the center of some of music’s most defining moments. His influence has earned honors from The Grammy Museum, the City of Atlanta, and his hometown of Durham, North Carolina.
This special Old Skool Sundays edition is more than a DJ set. It is a live, immersive storytelling experience that pays tribute to Club Kaya, the groundbreaking midtown venue that launched Atlanta’s first hip-hop night in the 1990s. Through turntablism, rare archival footage, and exclusive audio, DJ NABS recreates the energy of the room where legends like Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash, Jay-Z, and Kris Kross once took the stage.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, memory, and meaning in City Winery’s intimate setting, complete with wine, dining, and a front-row seat to living history. This is Atlanta culture, preserved and performed live. Secure your seats now for this historic night.
🍽️ We provide food and beverage service directly to your table in the venue. Or, for an expanded menu and more relaxed experience, arrive early and enjoy a meal in our restaurant before the show. Reserve your preferred wine by filling out this form(opens in a new tab) and have a bottle waiting at your table when you arrive at your show. No more waiting for your first drink! We will save your wine preference and have a bottle at your table for all future shows. When you want to change your wine, come back to this form and update your preference.
🎶 While we do not require a two-item food or beverage minimum, we strongly encourage it. Most ticket revenue goes directly to the artist and production costs, so food and drink purchases help support the staff, service, and atmosphere that make these intimate shows possible.
The good news: we think you’ll love the food and wine just as much as the show.
