There’s a bold new name in the contemporary Celtic music scene: Haggis X-1. With their self-titled debut album now available on digital platforms, CD, and vinyl, the band is also setting sights on the road in 2026 . Fans can expect an electrifying live experience that fuses ancient tradition with rock, funk and a futuristic edge.

Haggis X-1 is formed by members of acclaimed Canadian/American Celtic-rock group Enter the Haggis. The name reflects both their heritage and their forward-looking vision: “Haggis” honours their roots, while “X-1”—a nod to the future—signals the band’s leap into new territory. The result is a sound that’s steeped in tradition, while also venturing into uncharted musical space.

With bagpipes, fiddle, fiery guitar riffs, and pulsing rhythms at their core, Haggis X-1 creates music that feels both familiar and innovative. Their style bridges the gap between folk traditions and experimental rock, layered with textures that make every performance feel larger than life. It’s a genre-defying approach that appeals to fans of Celtic rock, progressive sounds, and high-octane live music.
