GARY LUCAS & GODS AND MONSTERS are the latest incarnation of guitarist Gary Lucas’s longtime psychedelic jazz-rock jam band GODS AND MONSTERS. Now a power trio featuring the mighty CALVIN WESTON (James Blood Ulmer, Lounge Lizards) on drums, and rock steady ERNIE BROOKS on bass (Modern Lovers, Arthur Russell), the band has generated much acclaim over the years but never more so than in their new power trio format. Grammy-nominated guitarist / songwriter GARY LUCAS—renowned for his work with Captain Beefheart and Jeff Buckley--has been called “one of the best guitarists in America—a modern guitar miracle” by Rolling Stone— and he has consistently generated 4 and 5 star reviews for both his live shows and his 50-plus album catalog.
