City Winery Philadelphia presents Ethan Eubanks and Jenny Douglas Foote Present ”Freedom Highway” a soulful celebration of The Staples Singers music live on June 6th at 12pm.
Ethan Eubanks and Jenny Douglas Foote are longtime friends and musical collaborators working alongside each other in various projects over the years. They had long been trying to find a project to call their own, but professional music demands made it hard find the time to get it done. Until now! Eubanks pitched this idea of Staples Singers music feeling that there was a void of feel good progressive music and narrative in the current music business. Douglas - Foote agreed and the pair set about assembling the team, Eubanks would handle the Musicians and Douglas Foote would round up the singers. The collaboration would instantly bear fruit with a stellar debut sell out show with a stage full of who’s who in the NYC music scene, not just on stage but in the audience. What they have assembled is a non denominational, pro human (all kinds!) celebration of life as it is, with hope and positivity for the future. Calling all humans, please join us at the table.
Jenny Douglas - Foote has sung with some of the most iconic stars of popular music in recent times, From Mick Jagger, Joe Cocker, Enrique Iglesis, Pink, and everyone else in between.
Ethan Eubanks has toured and or Recorded in a dizzying mix of genres including: Indie Sensations IVY, Jazz Legend Joe Sample, R & B songstress, Corrine Bailey Rae, and blues master BIll Sims Jr.
