Emma Nissen
Emma Nissen has a voice that does not require much context to understand. In late 2023, a clip of her scatting over her original Christian song "Breathe" moved through social media with unusual speed, accumulating more than 200 million views and taking her Instagram following from under 10,000 to more than 850,000 in a matter of months. The category she has been placed in, jazz-pop with a spiritual center, is less important than the quality of the voice itself, which is the kind that makes people stop what they are doing.
The attention led to an invitation from producer and Emmy and Grammy winner Adam Blackstone, long-time collaborator with Rihanna, Maroon 5, and Justin Timberlake, to perform with his band at The Blue Note in New York City. Blackstone subsequently produced her single and album title track "Love Like You," which charted at the top of its format. The full record was co-produced with Grammy, Dove, and Billboard award winner Seth Mosley, Grammy-nominated producer Nate Pyfer, and acclaimed producer Stephen Nelson.
Her new album, Moved, released in June 2026, is the next step in a career that has moved quickly because the talent underneath it is genuine. She is currently on an extensive tour supporting the record, and she is selling out venues across North America and Europe.
