Katherine Ramsland has spent more than thirty years doing what most people would find difficult to contemplate: sitting across from serial killers, listening to how they thought, what they wanted, and how they evaded the people trying to stop them. She has collaborated with FBI profilers, homicide detectives, coroners, criminologists, and attorneys, and she has written more than 74 books on forensic psychology, criminal behavior, and death investigation, including Confession of a Serial Killer, The Mind of a Murderer, and How to Catch a Killer.

Audiences likely know her from the 300-plus crime documentaries, talk shows, and podcasts on which she has appeared, or from her executive producer credits on A&E's Confession of a Serial Killer: BTK and the ID and HBO docuseries The Serial Killer's Apprentice, which reached number one. She also blogs for Psychology Today and teaches forensic psychology at DeSales University.
