Crimson Calamity arrived the way the best creative partnerships often do: not through calculation but through instinct. Lauren Harding and Trunnell, a Nashville-based duo, began with a simple songwriting challenge and found something more lasting in the process. Their music sits in the space where Americana, folk, and sultry rock converge, built on layered instrumentation, vivid lyricism, and a vocal blend that carries genuine tension. They have also shared their working process publicly through The Liner Notes, a music podcast that offered candid conversations with fellow artists about the craft behind the songs.
Their current work is their most ambitious to date: a self-produced multi-EP series organized around the four classical elements, Fire, Earth, Water, and Air, each installment exploring a distinct sonic world before culminating in a full double-LP release. It is the kind of project that signals artists who are thinking carefully about where their music is going.
Kris Angelis brings her own layered history to the bill. Raised on a Florida farm, she has since performed across all 50 states, played the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Folk Alliance International, earned a Recording Academy membership, and contributed to Grammy-nominated albums in both 2024 and 2025. Her latest record, Le Sigh, released in 2025 on Blue Elán Records, has reached the top of the iTunes singer/songwriter chart and found its way onto Americana radio and SiriusXM.
