Brother Ali
Brother Ali has built two decades of Hip Hop on saying what needs saying. Ten albums, mentorship from Chuck D and Rakim, spots on Fallon and Conan, and a feature in Rolling Stone's 40th anniversary edition tell you where he stands as an artist. Source Magazine's Hip Hop Quotables put his writing on record. His advocacy for marginalized communities has put him on government watch lists and led to more than one arrest for civil disobedience.
He's carried the same conviction to Coachella and to the Nobel Peace Prize Forum, where he delivered the keynote address, and to lecture halls at Princeton and Stanford. He also studies Islamic Spirituality under some of the tradition's most respected teachers, leads worship and classes, and co-founded The Gemali Project to open that tradition to converts and seekers. He now hosts The Travelers Podcast from his home in Istanbul.
Nashville knows what it means to sit close to a great performance, and this room delivers it. Our intimate concert venue setup keeps the focus on the stage while our wine program and kitchen work in the background, so the evening reads as dinner and a show rather than two separate errands.
This is a Hip Hop night unlike most on our fall calendar.
🍽️ We provide food and beverage service directly to your table in the venue. Or, for an expanded menu and more relaxed experience, arrive early and enjoy a meal in our restaurant before the show. When dining in the restaurant, reservations are encouraged and can be made via Resy starting one month before the show. View Our Concert Dining Menu.(opens in a new tab)
Reserve your preferred wine by filling out this form(opens in a new tab) and have a bottle waiting at your table when you arrive at your show. No more waiting for your first drink! We will save your wine preference and have a bottle at your table for all future shows. When you want to change your wine, come back to this form and update your preference.
🎶 While we do not require a two-item food or beverage minimum, we strongly encourage it. Most ticket revenue goes directly to the artist and production costs, so food and drink purchases help support the staff, service, and atmosphere that make these intimate shows possible.
The good news: we think you’ll love the food and wine just as much as the show.
