Born and reared in the vibrant musical landscape of East St. Louis, Illinois, Brock Walker is more than just a musician; he is a multi-talented artist with a unique vision. Growing up surrounded by many talented musicians, Walker was inspired to embark on his musical journey, driven by the desire to express his own creativity and share his unique perspective with the world.
For years, Walker honed his craft playing in various bands, taking in the sounds and styles of the musical titans that came before him. It wasn’t until he felt the urge to break free from the confines of cover songs and mainstream hits that he also found his passion as a composer and performer. What sets Walker apart from his peers is his undeniable talent and his unparalleled work ethic and dedication to his craft.
Brock has collaborated with a myriad of artists and performed alongside industry legends such as the late Lou Rawls, and Cyndi Lauper. His exposure to a variety of genres has contributed to his ability to constantly evolve and grow as a musician. His favorite composition, “Full Swagger,” penned during President Barack Obama’s tenure, stands as a nod to his ability to capture the essence of a moment in time through music.
Walker believes that chemistry on stage is paramount, and that the energy and connection between band members is palpable to the audience and crucial for delivering an unforgettable performance. “If the band is having a good time, the audience can tell, and they will have a good time.”
