About the Motorcyclepedia Museum

Whether you are a die-hard gearhead or just someone who appreciates American history and pop culture, the Motorcyclepedia Museum in Newburgh, New York, is a hidden gem that blows expectations out of the water.

Housed in a massive, unassuming 85,000-square-foot former lumber building on Lake Street, this museum is one of the largest and most comprehensive motorcycle collections in the world. It features nearly 1,000 motorcycles spanning more than a century of mechanical innovation, design, and cultural evolution.

The Story Behind the Iron

The museum is the result of an incredible, 80-year obsession. It started in 1947 when local resident Gerald "Jerry" Doering bought his first bike: a 1929 Indian Scout. He passed his burning passion for two wheels down to his son, Ted Doering, who grew up building custom choppers and later founded a successful motorcycle parts business right in the Mid-Hudson region.

Over the decades, the father-son duo amassed an unbelievable volume of bikes, memorabilia, and ephemera. In 2011, they opened Motorcyclepedia to share their life's passion with the public.

🍽️ We provide food and beverage service directly to your table in the venue. Or, for an expanded menu and more relaxed experience, arrive early and enjoy a meal in our restaurant before the show. When dining in the restaurant, reservations are encouraged and can be made via Resy starting one month before the show. View Our Brunch Menu.(opens in a new tab)

Reserve your preferred wine by filling out this form(opens in a new tab) and have a bottle waiting at your table when you arrive at your show. No more waiting for your first drink! We will save your wine preference and have a bottle at your table for all future shows. When you want to change your wine, come back to this form and update your preference.

2 Item Per Person Encouraged

🎶 While we do not require a two-item food or beverage minimum, we strongly encourage it. Most ticket revenue goes directly to the artist and production costs, so food and drink purchases help support the staff, service, and atmosphere that make these intimate shows possible.

The good news: we think you’ll love the food and wine just as much as the show.(opens in a new tab)
