A defining voice of British pop's early '80s explosion, Heyward rose to fame as the frontman and songwriter of Haircut 100, delivering hits including “Love Plus One,” “Fantastic Day,” “Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl),” and “Nobody's Fool.” The band's platinum-selling debut, Pelican West, remains a beloved example of the era's vibrant, melody-driven sound.
Heyward went on to establish an acclaimed solo career, working with Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick on North of a Miracle and reaching No. 4 on the Billboard Alternative chart with “Kite” from From Monday to Sunday. His continued creative evolution has included acclaimed solo releases and a celebrated reunion with Haircut 100.
