AM Gold: The High-Octane Evolution of Progressive Rock
AM Gold is a Hudson Valley-based rock trio that defies the limitations of its size. Composed of multi-instrumentalist Aaron Magram, bassist Frank Casciaro and drummer Dana Fasano, the band delivers a "maximalist" sonic experience, blending the heavy, fuzzed-out riffs of stoner rock with the intricate arrangements of progressive and psychedelic music.
The Sound
Originally founded as a solo project by Magram, AM Gold transformed into a powerhouse duo in late 2022. By integrating advanced looping technology, octave pedals, and vocal effects, Magram and Fasano create a wall of sound that rivals a five-piece ensemble. Their music is a journey through rock history—moving seamlessly from Sabbath-esque doom and 80s-inspired guitar heroics to the melodic warmth of 70s indie and grunge-punk intensity. AM Gold reached its current form as a live power trio in late 2025 with the addition of Frank Casciaro, a veteran bassist who brings a deep technical pedigree to the group.
The Discography
The band’s creative output is as prolific as it is eclectic. Following early experimental releases like SuperUltraMegaMediocre, the band solidified their partnership with their 2024 self-titled album, which featured fan favorites like “Word of God” and “Tell Me.” Their most recent effort, the 2025 LP Bongs Not Bombs, showcases their "genre-hopping" philosophy, earning praise for its tight musicianship and satirical takes on modern culture.

Known for their high-energy performances across the New York metro area and Hudson Valley—with regular appearances in Woodstock, Kingston, and local mainstays like Keegan Ales and Rushing Duck—AM Gold provides a visceral live experience.
